Annie Nishida almost graduated high school unscathed. Then her AP Government teacher told her she needed to change her face because it made people uncomfortable. Instead of smiling occasionally, she decided to embrace her weakness by legally changing her name to Bitchface McGee.
Bitchface blesses her characters with strong convictions in stories about growing up. She graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts with a BFA in Writing for Screen and Television, has been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, nominated for the Humanitas Prize’s Angell Comedy Fellowship, and worked on a pilot with Bill Prady, creator of The Big Bang Theory. Take that, Mrs. AP Government Teacher.
